The Ghana Research and Industry Collaborative (GRIC), was established as a national collaborative to bridge the gap between researchers and industry and drive collaboration and innovation. GRIC has participation from universities, research institutions, firms, government, and international partners. An 11-member steering committee and three sub-committees drive action focused on collaboration, capacity-building, and fundraising.
GRIC’s key achievements include building a database of 100+ research works in fields such as business, entrepreneurship, innovation, and social finance. It has run learning workshops on innovative financing for research, impact measurement and evaluation and effective research communication. It has also supported its members to turn research into policy briefs and other forms that industry can easily use
