Ghana Impact Summit (GIS) 2026 Speakers Revealed

Accra, Ghana – March 2026. The Ghana Impact Summit (GIS) 2026, under the theme “Scaling Impact: Mobilising Local Capital for Locally Led Change”, is proud to unveil its distinguished lineup of speakers and sessions that will catalyse action for sustainable, locally led growth across Africa.

The Summit opens with registration and welcome coffee, followed by cultural troupe performances and welcome speeches from Amma Lartey, CEO of Impact Investing Ghana; Alex Asiedu, Board Chair of IIGh; Michael Abbey, Esq., CEO of Venture Capital Trust Fund; Barnabe Ndarishikanye, Counsellor, Global Affairs Canada and a representative of the European Union Ambassador.

The first plenary will explore Mobilising Domestic Capital at Scale with Shirley Somuah of CardinalStone Capital Advisers moderating the  panel featuring Peter Bawuah of Axis Wealth, Hamdiya Ismaila of Savanna Impact Advisors, Amma Lartey of IIGh, and. Dr. Benedict Yiyugsah will present the Ghana Ecosystem Mapping and Market Sizing Research Report. The second plenary however, aims to Unlock, Invest, Grow: Local Capital Solutions for MSMEs. This session will convene UNCDF and representatives from RVO, Expertise France, and Ghana’s 24-hour economy office.

Networking cocoa breaks punctuate the day, leading into the third plenary on Gender Lens Investing, moderated by Tony Anderson, with speakers including Mirabelle Moreaux of the Ghana Investment Support Program, Nathalie Ebo-Ngogue of OpenCapital Advisory, Catherine Krobo Edusei of Eden Tree, Barbara Ghansah, CEO, Zinari Capital Ltd  and Freda Donkor of Fh dépôt.

Breakout sessions will drive targeted actions including Investor Connect pitches in the Deal Room moderated by Obed Ollenu; agribusiness financing challenges, especially women- and youth-led in Ghana, led by MEDA Grow2 Project; and climate financing led by ShEquity and MBC Africa  Additional sessions will address reforming microfinance and banking, led by Stanbic Investment Management Services, and government interventions versus SME outcomes, led by the Venture Capital Trust Fund.

To deliver onsite funding opportunities, Deal Rooms on the sidelines of the Summit will also create opportunities for businesses to meet directly with impact funds. 

This highly packed edition of Ghana Impact Summit, the final plenary will consolidate highlights and key learnings, with closing remarks from Mirabelle Moreaux, Board Vice Chair of IIGh & Team Lead – Ghana Investment Support Program, before the evening culminates in entertainment.

Wrapping up the Ghana Impact Summit 2026 will be an exclusive Networking Cocktail Reception that will convene Impact Investing Ghana’s strategic partners and distinguished guests. This closing evening will provide a relaxed yet engaging atmosphere for candid capital conversations, relationship building, and celebration of the summit’s achievements.
